Tony is survived by his wife Arlene; children Tera (Aaron) of Lapeer, Jason (Nova) of Paige, TX, Maria (Tom) and Alaina (Marc) of Elkton; grandchildren Brianna, Kayla, Daniel, Mia, Richard, Mason, Arriana, Olivia, Jacob and Ian; beloved cat Shadow; siblings Carmen and Mary (Norman) of Mt. Pleasant, Rosie (Wayne) of Canada, Josie (James), Teresa (Bob) and Henry (Diane) of Florida; in-laws Mark (Holly) of Ruth, Dennis (Carol) and Joseph (Donna) of Minden City, Clarence (Kathy) of Seattle, WA, Donna (Ray) of Port Austin, Alan (Lynette) of St. Clair Shores and Christopher of Harbor Beach; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Ashlyn Prill; brother Joe; sister-in-law Karen and his beloved dog Zeke.

Biography

Anthony "Tony" John Torres, 67, of Elkton, died Sunday, December 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at his home with his family by his side. Tony was born on January 1, 1952 in the same home he passed away in to Joe and Josephine (DeHoyos) Torres. Tony was a life long resident of Elkton. He graduated from Laker High School in 1971. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Arlene Essenmacher on Valentine's Day in the home they still resided in. He was an active member of the community, coaching Pee Wee football and was an umpire for Little League baseball. Tony owned and operated TNT Landscaping and was employed as a die setter at Tower Automotive. He retired after 40 years due to medical reasons.
