Funeral services will be 11am on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at St. Edwards, Catholic Church, Kinde, with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. Burial will be at St. Edward’s cemetery with Military honors. Visitation will be at MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde on Tuesday 3-9 pm. and also in church, prior to service beginning at 10 am. The family would like to thank McLaren Thumb Region Hospital, Huron Medical Care Facility and Compassus Hospice. Memorials may be offered to be used at the family’s discretion. Anthony is survived by his wife Jacqueline, of 67 years, children: Linda (Patrick) Mitchell of Hudsonville, James (Cathy Jimpkoski) of Caseville, Karen (Larry) Vigenski of Kinde, Brenda (Kenneth) Church of Kinde, Steven (Mitzi) Korolesk of Kinde, Alan Koroleski of Kinde, Valerie (Mike Warczinsky) Koroleski of Palms, Denise (Leigh Langenburg) Grifka of Ubly, and Michelle Robinson of Zeeland; son-in law, Paul Guza of Deckerville, and foster daughter in-law, Monika Iaccovacci of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by his sister, Joann Rutkoski of Ocala, FL and In-laws: Monica Hyzer of Filion, Mary (Robert) Moore of Burton, David (Diane) Hyzer of Bad Axe, Deborah Hyzer of Bad Axe, Catherine (Raymond) Rayl of Howell, Joan (Jim) Opperman of Portland, Beverly (Joseph)Stanley of Boyne City. Grandchildren: Andrew Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Benjamin Mitchell, Emily Boeve, Jeffrey Koroleski, Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, Chandi Vigenski, Aaron Vigenski, Ryan Vigenski, Jason Church, Nicole O’Connor, Chelsea Volmering, Kyle Koroleski, Devin Koroleski, Jessie Maurer, Jaclyn Stanitzek, Alayna Guza, Madisyn Guza, Kinsley Warczinsky, Jenna Pagel, Jamie Booms, Jerry Grifka, Grace Grifka,  Austin Robinson, their spouses, and 22 great grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws J.Wilford and Virginia Hyzer, foster-son John Iaccovacci; sons in-law David Grifka and Darrell Robinson. Siblings: Jerome and RuthAnn Koroleski, Irvin and Dorothy Stockoski, Felix and Virginia Koroleski, Tom and Matilda Fisher, Genevieve Koroleski, Frederick Koroleski, Louis Koroleski and Mary Jane Fillingham. In-laws: Dale Hyzer, Sharon and Donald Smith, and Ronald Hyzer.
Anthony Koroleski Jr., lifelong farmer, 93 of Dwight Twp., Kinde, Michigan, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, with his family by his side, at Huron Medical Care Facility following a stroke. Anthony was born at home, in Dwight Twp., on January 20, 1928, to Gertrude (Miller/Krzeszewski), and Anthony Koroleski Sr. He attended Kelly School, Dwight Twp., and was a championship soccer player and was an A student He graduated in 8th grade, and returned to the family farm on Kinde Rd. In December 1950, he was drafted to the U.S. Army, trained in Fort Hood, TX. He rode a ship to Heidelberg, Germany and served thru 1952 during the Korean Conflict as a jeep driver and was top secret messenger to the higher ranks. He was Honorably discharged from Fort Custer, Battle Creek, MI. Anthony thereafter went to Detroit to work at Dodge Main, with his brother Fred; then worked a short time at Active Industries, Elkton. He met the love of his life, Jacqueline Hyzer, and was married at St. Felix Catholic church, in 1954. He dairy farmed with his wife and children until 1984; then cattle and crop farmed until he was 84 years old. He went to work at Gemini Plastics, Ubly, and worked with Ed Goretski at his shop until his retirement. He and Jackie wintered in Bullhead City, AZ, and in Ocala, FL. Anthony was a shareholder of the Farmer’s Co-Operative Grain Company, a member of Annunciation of the Lord parish, and an usher for many years at St. Edwards Parish.  Was a member of the VFW, Kinde Post, and Port Austin American Legion. Played golf and shuffle board with friends and his kids, loved to read and learn, gardening and roses. He loved his wife and family most of all, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Enjoyed farming, crop checking, a short one of whiskey with anyone who stopped by, western movies, military movies, and supporting the veterans of the U.S. services, as well as children services across the country.
