Carolyn T. Wooster “Connie, 95, of Pigeon, Michigan passed away on June 27, 2021. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 21, 1925 to the late Sarah (Swackhammer) and Galen Case. In February 1946, Connie married Jack Wooster, her childhood sweetheart. They raised their two children in Royal Oak. Together they shared a love of family, the outdoors, and their beloved Springer Spaniels. Jack preceded her in death in 2004. In response to a nursing shortage during World War II, Connie became a cadet nurse at Grace Hospital in Detroit. She went on to work as a surgical nurse and then a public health nurse in Oakland County. She graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in special education, and worked with physically or otherwise handicapped children. She taught for 13 years in Royal Oak Schools. During their retirement in Bay Port, Connie loved working in her flower beds, listening to big band music, feeding birds, and watching tennis on T.V. She was a devoted wife and a magical mother and grandmother. Thoughtful and creative to the core, she brought a mix of joy, excitement and anticipation to every birthday and holiday. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy in life.
