Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-9pm. The funeral will be Thursday, July 1, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bach. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the ACW Ambulance. Harley is survived by his wife, Rose; 2 sons: Randy (Sue) Faber of Unionville and Daryl (Marlene) Faber of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Mike (Jolene) Faber, Jenny Matthews, Shaun (Erika) Faber, Emily Faber and Chelsea (special friend Corbin Thompson) Faber; great granddaughter, Macie Matthews; sisters: Jean Fisher, Rose Naffien, Joyce Haley and Karen (Don) Weisenbach; and several nieces and nephews. Harley is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Arthur Fisher.

Biography

Harley Lyle Faber, age 81, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Harley was born July 30, 1939, in Huron County, to Lyle N. and E. Alice (Fritz) Faber. He is a 1957 graduate of Sebewaing High School. He married the love of his life, Rose M. Kemp on September 16, 1961 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Bach. Harley worked for Sebewaing Concrete for 29 years. He then started his own masonry business, Faber Masonry in 1985, semi-retiring in 2008. Harley deeply loved his wife and his family. He also enjoyed ice fishing for perch and working puzzles. He was the #1 fan and scorekeeper for the Detroit Tigers. Harley was actively involved in every aspect at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
