Dean is survived by his wife Jackie Booms of Freeland, children: Michele (Shane) Jurek of Grand Rapids, and Andrew (Kayla) Booms of Midland, grandchildren: Cameron and Parker Jurek, siblings: Suzanne (Gary) Mann, Joan (Jeff) Stevens, Brian (Carolyn) Booms, Colleen (Randy) deBeauclair, Lynette (Jeff) Adamo, Kathleen (Mark) Scott, Fred (Lynn) Booms, Lisa (Matt) Liening, father and mother-in-law: Andy & Phyllis Woycik, brother and sisters-in-law: Patsy (Dale) Siemen, Gerry (Stacey) Woycik, Holly (Matt) Brown and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Louise Booms, son Jason Booms, and brother Bruce Booms.

Biography

Dean J. Booms, age 57 of Freeland, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. He was born on August 24, 1964 in Bad Axe to the late James and Mary Louise (Sweeney) Booms. He and Jacqueline Woycik were united in marriage on January 29, 1988 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parisville. Dean worked for the State of Michigan for many years. Dean enjoyed a good deal and was always on a lookout. He enjoyed checking the weekly Menards ads and looking for online auctions. But most of all, he enjoyed being with family and his grandchildren.
