Funeral Information

A funeral mass will be at 11:00am Thursday, December 16th at St. Michael Catholic Church in Port Austin with Fr. Craig Carolan presiding. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon. Memorials may be made to the family.

Roberta is survived by her husband Edward; son Garrit (Brenda Ross) Hewitt of Bad Axe and daughter Mary Lou Hewitt of Pigeon; grandson Cody Minix; sisters Roxann (Ray) Mills of Capac, Donna Keyes of Caro and Kim Keyes of Petoskey and brothers Donald Keyes of New Haven and Patrick (Tracey) Novosad of Rives Junction.

Biography

Roberta Ann Powers, 67, of Capac, formerly of Huron County, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 of complications from Covid. Roberta was born June 8, 1954 in Detroit to the late Bertrum and Patricia (LaBelle) Davies. She grew up in Port Austin and graduated from St. Michael Catholic School. She loved music, playing guitar, piano and organ. She shared her gifts in music as a director of music at several local Catholic Churches. She enjoyed gardening and baking, and most all spending time with her friends and family.
