Funeral Mass for Cass will be Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of the Holy Name of Mary Parish. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery. Visitation for Cass will be Sunday, from 2-7 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Cass is survived by his siblings: James Kramer of Harbor Beach, Sylvia (Robert) Sporman of Bay City, Pauline (Raymond) Boks of Bay City, Carla (Kenneth) Hoot of Midland, his son he never had: Ryan (Melissa) Kramer and family of Ruth, nieces and nephews, and all his friends. Cass was preceded in death by his brothers: David Kramer & Harvey Kramer, sister-in-law Stella Kramer and brother-in-law John Youngs.
Melvin R. “Cass” Kramer, age 80 of Harbor Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Harbor Beach Community Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1941 in Harbor Beach to the late Raymond and Stella (Holdwick) Kramer. Cass worked on the farm his whole life, and especially enjoyed raising beef cattle. He enjoyed cooking for everyone, hunting, fishing, going to his sister’s lodge, and heading up north to the Northern Michigan Livestock Feeder Cattle auctions. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, and the St. Anthony’s Men’s Club. He even started his own farm coffee shop where he served his friends and neighbors every Saturday.
