Funeral Information

Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. T.J. Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at St. Felix Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Alice is survived by her sons: Allen (Judy) Fisher of Pigeon; Timothy (Kathy) Fisher of Filion and Leroy Fisher (special friend, Gretchen McBride) of Caseville; her daughters: Arlice Lackie of Caseville; Sherry (John) Loutzenheiser of Croswell and Dinah (Dave) Rasmussen of Elkton; her grandchildren: John, Kristy, Brock, Lisa, Allen, Alice and Tiffany. She is also survived by 9 great – grandchildren; her sisters-in-law: Rosline Witherspoon, Bernice McCrea and Shirley Fisher; brother-in-law, Clarence Fisher and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: her twin brother, Allen (Florence) Witherspoon, Willis Witherspoon, John Witherspoon and Euortta (James) Hind.

Biography

Alice G. Fisher, 91, of Meade Township, passed away on December 24, 2021 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born in Hume Township on September 12, 1930 to the late Alfred and Minna (Iseler) Witherspoon. Alice married Bernard “Ben” Fisher on April 5, 1951. They raised 6 children together. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2006. She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church and their Altar Society and the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion. Alice worked at Huron County Medical Care Facility as a nurse’s aide for many years. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and canning. She was a dedicated farmer’s wife and helped raised her grandchildren.
