Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11am at Colwood Church, located at 1840 Colwood Rd. (M-81), Caro, MI 48723. Kevin will be laid to rest in Colfax Cemetery in Bad Axe. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4 – 8 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe; and also on Friday, at Colwood Church from 10am until the service time at 11am. He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Seibert) DeBoer of Bad Axe; son, Kevin Scott (Jenny Sue) DeBoer, Jr. of Bad Axe; father, Alfred DeBoer of Lake City, Michigan; and sister, Kimberly (Matt) DeRuiter of Falmouth, Michigan. Also surviving are his mother and father in-law, Vern and LaJean Seibert,Jr. of Bad Axe; sister in-law, Teresa (Larry) Storinsky and sister in-law, Tanya (Joel) Haselhuhn along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him very much. His greatest joy was the time spent with his five precious grandchildren: Warren DeBoer, 13; Lily Puvalowski,9; Vincent Puvalowski, 5; Lucas DeBoer, 5; and Jeremiah DeBoer, 11 months old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris DeBoer; his grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
Kevin Scott DeBoer, age 63 of Bad Axe, passed away suddenly on December 26, 2021, and has met his Lord Jesus face to face. He was born on July 11, 1958 in Cadillac, Michigan, the son of Alfred and Doris (Bode) DeBoer. He married Tammy Seibert on July 12, 1980 in Livonia, Michigan. Kevin graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He worked as an automotive engineer for 25 years. Kevin and his family moved to Bad Axe in 1996. He was currently a Bus Driver for Thumb Area Transit. He served his community as a member of the Board of Review for the City of Bad Axe, served as a Scout Master for Troop 555, and served in many areas within his church.
