Funeral Information

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, October 28th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne with Rev. Steven Neuman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon and one hour prior to the service on Friday at church. The family would like to acknowledge A & D Home Care and Hospice for their compassionate care. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Michigan Chapter.

Ron is survived by his wife Randie; children Brad (Kathy) of Grand Haven and Heather (Mark) Goff of Dimondale; grandchildren Bethany, Hayden, Victoria and Katherine; sisters LaDonna (Merlin) Little of Roger City and Judith (Robert) Pray of Florida; mother-in-law Beatrice Anklam; sister-in-law Cynthia (Robert) Rathje of Pigeon and brothers-in-law Clark (Gloria) Anklam of Freeland and Fred Vandervennet of Waterford. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly Vandervennet and father-in-law Calvin Anklam.

Biography

Ronald A. Clark, 74, of Bad Axe, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 after a long fought battle with multiple sclerosis. Ron was born July 4, 1948 in Bad Axe to the late Arthur and Phyllis (Liedke) Clark. In 1966 he graduated from Laker High School. He married Randie Anklam August 3, 1968 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne. Ron worked 34 years at Active Industries. He was an active member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and served on the School Board, as Sunday School Superintendent, and on the church council. In 1988 he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and retained a positive attitude with MS showing love and a great sense of humor which served as a great inspiration to others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
