Funeral mass for Francis will be on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow in Marquardt Cemetery. Visitation for Fran will be on Monday, from 3-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Tuesday, will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. An AmVets White Clover Service will take place Monday at 6:30 pm, followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary, at 7pm. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com
Fran is survived by his daughters: Mary (Anthony) DiCicco of Lapeer, Judith (Jeffrey) Schmidt of Roseville, grandchildren: Anna, Rebecca, Joseph, Jonathon, great grandchildren: Emma, Ella, siblings: Agnes Freeman, Theresa Kautz, sister-in-law Judith Craig, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Francis Emil Schulte in 1964, daughter Janet Schulte, grandson Michael Downey, his brothers: Joe, George, Melvin, Anthony Schulte, and sisters: Catherine Carabin, Mildred Newell and Mary Gallagher.
Francis R. Schulte, age 88 of Port Hope, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. He was born on March 1, 1935 in Harbor Beach to the late Edward and Catherine (Kramer) Schulte. Fran and Nona LeBouf were united in marriage on August 20, 1960. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2018. Fran worked in Production at Tower Automotive for 29 years. He served in the US Air Force from 1956-1959. Fran was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, a life member of the AmVets Post 115 of Port Hope, the Knights of Columbus of Harbor Beach, the Port Hope Retirees, and the Grindstone, Port Hope Sportsmans Club. Over the years, Fran enjoyed playing Pool, Cards, was the coordinator for Bingo, a Lector in Church, enjoyed being with his family, and enjoyed canning, especially his Spaghetti Sauce
