Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Fred will be 2 pm, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, with Rev. Matthew Durance officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Fred will be on Wednesday, beginning at 12 noon until time of services at 2 pm, at the funeral home Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Family of the Deceased

Fred is survived by wife Bea of 59 years, his sister Betty of Little Falls, NY, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Louise Fox and Marion Vedder, and brother Bill Gerhardt.

Biography

He was born on June 19, 1932 in Little Falls, NY to the late Phillip and Marie Gerhardt. He and Beatrice Drinkhorn were united in marriage on October 5, 1963. Fred attended University of Michigan on a golf scholarship, and was a graduate of the U of M Dental School. He worked in Harbor Beach for 25 years, before retiring in 1983. Golf and his work were his passion. He was a golf enthusiast and won multiple golf championships.
