Biography

Gail Marie Lombardo, 73, of Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Brian’s House in Essexville.Gail was born September 14, 1949 in Detroit to the late Donald and Josephine Meerschaert. She married Daniel Lombardo June 26, 1969 at St. Jude Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2019. Gail kept her family as her cornerstone. Her home was her hobby and first love which included some of the best meals ever served. Her work was her happy place where she would always go and come with a smile. Her dogs gave her extra companionship, mostly having two at a time. Gail had passions that involved art and making things beautiful and comfortable, changing cloth into quilts, clay into ceramic art, ingredients into delicacy, pencil lead into paper art and framed life into photographic gems. Gail took the time to show her family each how to smell their own roses and create art themselves. She took the time to inspire generations to become something great in their own minds, holding true to her values, finding what makes you happy, doing jobs that make you proud, holding fast to Jesus and growing some plants.
