Funeral Mass for Thelma will be Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Thelma, will be Sunday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday, will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11:30 am. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com
Thelma is survived by two of sons: Jeff (Barb) Schubring of Millington, Jim (Cindy) Schubring of Milan, Daughter-in-law Jan Schubring of Chelsea, 7 grandchildren: Tim (Sarah) Schubring of Chelsea, Kevin (Jessica) Schubring of Grand Ledge, Jeff (Sarah) Schubring of Ortonville, Jill (Mike) Scimone of Hickory, North Carolina, Sara Schubring of Milan, Laura Schubring of Ann Arbor, Jason Schubring of Ypsilanti, 9 great grandchildren: Kailyn, Ellery, Michael, Hannah, Bodie, Emily, Allison, Molly, Camden, and several nieces and nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by a son, Michael, three sisters and two brothers.
Thelma C. Schubring, age 99 of Harbor Beach, passed away October 3, 2023 at Courtney Manor Nursing Center of Bad Axe, after a short illness. She was born on March 6, 1924 in Harbor Beach, to the late Paul and Rose Wehner. She and Elwood Schubring were united in marriage in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1970. She had several other "Significant" friends through the years. Thelma graduated from Cleary College and went on to work at the Huron Milling Company, OLLH Catholic School and Doctor Turner's Office. Thelma was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. Thelma really enjoyed travelling through the years. She loved to play bingo, cards, and maintain her flowers and garden. She did a lot of crafting with sea shells and embroidered many quilts. She loved being with her family
