Funeral Mass for Joan Koroleski will be at 11:00 on Friday, October 13, 2023, in St. Marys church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish, Kinde. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday October 12, 2023, at the Knoblock Funeral Home of Kinde, and from 10:00 am on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, in the church until the time of Mass at 11:00. There will be a parish Rosary Service during visitation at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
Joan is survived by her children: Doreen (Fred) Schramski of Kingsley, Judith (Fred) Gelow of Stanwood, Douglas (Terry) Koroleski of Allen Park, Rodney (April) Koroleski of Westland, Jamie (Stanley) Iseler of Freeland, and Cheryl Goodreau of Williamston; Her grandchildren: Rebecca Gilbert, Jason Schramski, Sarah Ambrose, Molly Kochany, Amanda Frazier, Christopher Gelow, Kathryn Wisser, Joshua Koroleski, Rodney Koroleski Jr., Ryan Koroleski, Justin Koroleski, Morgan Iseler, Leah Lindauer, Dylan Iseler; and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Barb Rutkowski, Grace Kamrad, and Cindy Jackson, and several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane (Kenneth) Ligrow; son-in-law, William Goodreau; baby sister Vivian; brother, Francis Kanaby; brothers-in-law, Elmer Rutkowski and Steve Kamrad, Jr.; and nephews, Craig Kamrad and Edward Kanaby.
Joan H. (Joanie) Koroleski, 91, Dwight Township, Kinde, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023. Joan was born September 28, 1932, to the late Louis and Martha (Stepka) Kanaby. She was united in marriage to Michael J. Koroleski, Jr. on October 20, 1951, at St. Pancratius Church, Cass City, Michigan. Mike preceded her in death on March 29, 2005. Joan belonged to The Daughters of Isabella. She was involved in her church, being a catechist for many years, held several offices in the St. Mary’s Altar Society, and was involved in many church festivals. Also, Joan was a 4-H leader. She enjoyed growing flowers, especially perennials. Joan liked to sew, polka dance and play cards. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
