Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering for Esther will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 2-6pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Memorials may be given to the family. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Family of the Deceased

Eppie is survived by her sister, Flo (Richard) Stein of Ruth, brothers: Lee Koehn of Oregon and Bill Koehn of Oregon, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Mildred Koehn, siblings: Charles Koehn, Alvin Koehn, Richard Koehn, George Koehn, Alberta Banker, and nephews: Bill Tenbusch and Paul Stein.

Biography

Esther Marie Howard, age 69 of Harbor Beach, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at United Hospice Center of the Marlette Regional Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on April 8, 1954 in Harbor Beach to the late George and Mildred (Pardik) Koehn. Esther and David Howard were united in marriage, he preceded her in death. Esther “Eppie” never had children of her own. She helped raise all of her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, who all loved her like a mother. She was the kindest and most loving person you could ever know. Eppie loved crossword puzzles and crafts. She even crossed the Mackinac Bridge, two separate times on a tractor, for the Mackinac Bridge Antique Tractor Crossing, with her nephews. She also went on every annual vacation with family.
