Rich is survived by his daughters: Cristina (Kris Clink) Bacca and Sarah (Mike) Whittredge; grandchildren: Buzz, Chance, Dalten, Tristen, Dustin and Lexie; great grandchildren: Khloie, Noah, Zoey and Silver; brothers-in-law: Joe, John and Rodney; nieces and nephews: Kay Kay, Terah, Shauna, Brandi, Jacob and Ryan; great aunt, Frieda; cousin, Tami; brother from another mother, Tommy (Mary Lou) Smith. Preceded in death by wife, Mary; son: James Bacca in 2001; parents: Richard and Patricia Bacca; sisters: Joanie, Cheryl and Sheila; brother, Tim Bacca; brother-in-law, Tommy; niece, Amanda; many friends.

Biography

Richard “Rich” Louis Bacca, age 67, of Bay Port, passed away peacefully in his home on October 13, 2023. Rich was born in Bay City on September 17, 1956, to Richard, Sr. and Patricia (Seeley) Bacca. He married Mary Deming on December 24, 1987. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2018. He worked many jobs throughout his life, but was proud of being a commercial fisherman for the Bay Port Fish Company, the Bay Port Inn and a manager at McGee’s. He was also known to work for chicken coops, garbage man, local handy man, enjoyed yard work and was a neighborly plumber and painter. He enjoyed playing pool and was pool champion in 1998 and 1999. He loved riding Harley Davison bikes and anything associated with Harley. He also loved all music, especially heavy metal and classic rock. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
