Biography

Evangelina "Angie" Garza, 81 of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, surrounded by family. Angie was born to the late Hipolito and Adelfina (Cuellar) Flores in Castroville, Texas on December 6, 1941. On June 6, 1957, Angie married Manuel Garza in Pigeon, Michigan. Angie spent her entire life as a devoted wife and mother and made her living being a homemaker. Angie would also frequently provide companionship and home care services to the elderly in the community. Angie was known for her strict demeanor and strong beliefs - if she said dinner started at 1 pm, that meant that everyone was at the table and ready to eat at 1. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed road trips to visit those that lived further away. Angie also loved her flowers, and it was not uncommon for her to spend the entire day outside in her garden beds, weeding and watering. She also had quite the sweet tooth and her orange jello was famous among family and friends.
