Survived by her husband Clayton of Bad Axe, a daughter, Kathleen (Steven) Yeomans of St Simons Island, GA, two sons, Bryan of Bad Axe and Kevin (Melissa) of Columbus, OH. Three grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Homan, Dominic Yeomans and Macie Rains. One great-grandson, Micah Homan. Brother, Milton (Bonnie) Rolle of Minot, ND. Sister-in-law, Sharon Carpenter of Ubly. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Rolle and Patricia (Rolle) Gerald. Sister-in-law, Beverly Shaina. Brother-in-law, Larry Carpenter and brother-in-law, Arthur Shaina. Two nephews, Daren Rolle and Michael Shaina. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren, traveling, garage sales and spending winters in Apache Junction, AZ.
Nancy Lucille Day, 86, of Bad Axe, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe, following a short illness. She was born on November 5, 1936 in Devils Lake, ND to the late Leo Rolle and Patrica (Bowman) Gerald. Nancy grew up in Brinsmade, ND and was a graduate of Leeds High School, Leeds, ND. She attended Crown College in Minnesota, received a B.A. from Taylor University in Indiana and received a M.A. from Central Michigan University in Michigan. She taught school in Homer and Bad Axe, both in Michigan. Nancy Rolle and Clayton Day were married August 24, 1963 at the First United Methodist Church in Bad Axe. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She was a member of the St Paul Methodist Church of Elkton, the Indian Trails Riding Club, the Good Sam Camping Club, served on the Colfax Township Planning Commission and was Chairman & Co-chairman of the American Cancer Society in Colfax Township for 25 years.
