Funeral Information

A memorial service will be Sat. Nov. 4, 2023 at 11 AM at Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 Cemetery Rd., Cass City. Family and friends may start gathering at 10 AM. Austin Keller of Ubly Christian Church will officiate. Burial was in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Ubly Christian Church. Family of the Deceased

Evelyn is survived by her children, Angela (the late Dr. Craig) Noble and Michael (Deb) Zmierski, both of Cass City, Mark (Becky) Zmierski of Caro, Teresa (John) Enos of ID and Deanne “Birdie” (Charles) Brown of Midland, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and a brother, David Gabler of Cass City and a sister, Irene McLellan of Deford and special friend, Albert Griffen of Deford. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Arianna Noble and siblings, Dorothy Pierson, Gerald Gabler, Judy Ferguson, Robert Gabler and Ricky Gabler.

Biography

Evelyn Zmierski Elzinga, age 86, of Cass City, passed away, Sun., Oct. 29, 2023 at her home. She was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Warren, to the late Christopher and Anna (Conley) Gabler. Evelyn was married to the late Walter Zmierski for 42 years and briefly to the late Alvin Elzinga. She was an expert at crossword puzzles and enjoyed baking, cooking, canning but No Onions! She also enjoyed Sunday dinners and red lipstick, but most of all loved knitting, sewing, crocheting, crafting, gardening and traveling. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
