Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian burial for Bill will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, at St. Anthony Helena Church with burial in the church cemetery with Father Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Visitation will be at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Memorials may be given to O.L.L.H. Catholic School, Holy Name of Mary Parish, or family discretionary fund. Memories can be shared at www.ramseyFH.com

Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, Rosemary, his children Dan (Lil) Roggenbuck of Harbor Beach, Nancy (Jim) Anderson of Howell, Donna (Mick) Perez-Cruet of Bloomfield, Larry (Shelly) Roggenbuck of Harbor Beach, Janis (Jay) Bates of Mississippi, Gary Roggenbuck of Harbor Beach, Betsy (Randy) Booms of Jenison, Jean (Terry) Guza of Harbor Beach, Carrie (Ron) Hanson of Harbor Beach, and Cheryl (Johnny) Guigar of Bad Axe; 30 grandchildren: Jess, JoLynn, Nick, Chip, Jenny, Jackie, Jamie, Jimmy, Katie, Kristin, Joshua, Rachel, David, Jonathon, Nicole, Jason, Jake, Shawna, Jared, Andrew, Alisha, Collin, Nathan, Ethan, Jenna, Karlee, Jeremy, Taylor, Kurtis, and Grayson; four step-grandchildren: Cody, Nicole, Derek, and Alicia; 28 great-grandchildren; siblings Bob, Evelyn (Roy) Stein, Mick (Pat), John, Joe, and Jean Merkler; sister-in-laws Leona Mausolf and Eleanor Roggenbuck. He was preceded in death by two infant sons William James and Henry William; son Randy; granddaughter Kaylin Roggenbuck; siblings Bud (Geraldine), Mary June, Sister Margaret Ann, Jerry, infant brother John, and Ron; in-laws: Linda C., Linda, Don Merkler, Father James Mausolf, Margie (Larry) O'Donnell, and Kenny Mausolf.

Biography

William James Roggenbuck, age 95, a life long farmer of Harbor Beach, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 29, 2023, at McLaren Hospital in Port Huron. The oldest of twelve children, he was born April 11, 1928, in Harbor Beach to the late Henry and Magdalene (Holdwick) Roggenbuck. Bill married Rosemary Mausolf October 10, 1953. He was a member of St. Anthony Helena Church and the Men's Club. Bill loved spending time with his family, big family meals, crop tours, euchre, and watching the Detroit Tigers.
