Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday November 13, 2023 at 11 am at St. Hubert Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive guests for visitation on Monday at the church from 9:30 am until the service time at 11 am. Memorials may be offered to Saint Huberts Parish. Jardine is survived by her children: David (Sherry) Mitchell, Paula Mitchell (Terry Heck), Julie (Mike) Sutherland and Robin (Carol) Zurek. 6 Grandchildren: Tonia (Chuck) Mosack, Robert (Donna) Mitchell, Tammy (Corey) Kalo, Adam (Deanna) Sutherland, Alaina Poirer and Amy Hutchison. Jadine had 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Agnes Depcinski and her brothers Ray (Rita) Depcinski, Eugene (Molly) Depcinski and Clarence (Leona) Depcinski.

Biography

Jardine Zurek, age 94, of Bad Axe, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1929 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Leo and Agnes (Glaza) Depcinski. She married Robert Zurek in 1971. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2007 Jardine worked at the seat belt factory and then became a homemaker after meeting her husband Bob. She loved to do counted cross stitch, play euchre, doing yardwork, going for rides and was a member of Daughters of Isabella for 25 years.
