Per his wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. The family will have a Celebration of his Life at a later date. Teddy is survived by Dawn; his step-mother Adrienne (Temerowski) Jayson; sisters Virginia Dean of Canton Twp., Michigan, Karen (Cassin) Young of Maryland and Elizabeth (Tim) Rayl of Traverse City, Michigan; brothers Charles (Cheryl) Jayson of Hartland, Michigan, Michael (Wendy) Jayson of Gregory, Michigan, Brian (Gerri) McLean of Rochester, Michigan, Jeff (Michelle) McLean of Raliegh, N. Carolina; brother in law Rick Waara. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Suzanne Elizabeth Waara.

Biography

Theodore Timothy Jayson, 69 years old of Port Hope, passed away on November 13, 2023 with his “sweetheart” Dawn Getynia holding his hand. He was born on April 22, 1954 to the late Theodore Thaddeus and Elizabeth Jane (Stump) Jayson. Teddy was an interesting character and fun to be with. He was a big man who filled the space with love, laughter and joy. He did historic muzzle loading re-enactments, built museum quality model planes, boats and cars and was a furniture refinisher by trade. He also built historically accurate black powder rifles. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
