Funeral Information

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, November 27th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon with burial in Grand Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon to 6:00pm Sunday.

Family of the Deceased

Joan is survived by her children Tim (Raynette) of Pigeon, Arlene (Ronald) Jamieson of Cass City, and Margorie (Joseph) Galy of Muskegon; grandchildren Tim, Jamie, Jennifer, Dawn, Laura, Sarha, Amanda, Sheri, Daniel, Dana, Abigail and Gabriel; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Anne Rogers and Donna Blome and all of her siblings: James, Helen, Robert, Dale, Audrey, Doris, Joseph, Leo, and Bernice.

Biography

Joan G. Blome, 83, of Bad Axe, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City. Joan was born May 28, 1940 in Chandler Twp to the late Joseph and Louise (Roestel) McArdle. She graduated from Pigeon High School. On November 29, 1958 she married Donald K. Blome; he preceded her in death June 13, 1998. She raised her family and kept the books for the family business. She was a member of New Life Ministries in Filion and a Christian servant to her community. She was very artistically talented. Joan loved being with other people, gardening, and fishing.
