Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 12:00 PM at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, with Rev. William O’Nan officiating, with burial to follow at Verona Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM at the funeral home until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund. Karen is survived by her daughter Donna (Kerry) Wolschleger; brothers Dale (Suzie) Stanton, Robert (Susan) Stanton, Roger (Carrie) Stanton; sister Kathleen (Dick) Schenk; grandchildren Christoper (Hannah) Stacer, and Amber (Chaning Baranski) Wolschleger and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William; brothers Larry Stanton, and Dennis (Sheri) Stanton.

Biography

Karen M. Scott, 70 years old of Bad Axe, passed away on November 25, 2023 at her home with her family and friends by her side. She was born on August 27, 1953 to the late Carl and Mildred (Steciak) Stanton. Karen married William T. Scott on June 10, 2000. He preceded her in death in 2003. Karen was a very strong, determined woman who worked hard her whole life, and never let anything get her down. She enjoyed playing cards, was happiest being outdoors and driving tractors, and loved her little 4-legged pal “Squiggles”, who will miss her greatly. Karen always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
