Roy W. Collings II, age 82 of Bad Axe went to be with his Lord and Savior while at his home on Monday November 27, 2023. The oldest of nine children, he was born on June 2, 1941 in Verona Township, son of the late Roy W. and Helen (Goretski) Collings. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bad Axe. On July 14, 1962, Roy married the love of his life, Sharon A. Kautz. Roy and Sharon were married for over 61 years where they farmed side by side, along with raising their five children. During his journey, Roy enjoyed bringing life to the world through his crops and livestock. His hard work did not go unnoticed, as he put in countless hours working on the farm and Tower Automotive in Elkton where he was a Machine Repair Machinist for over 25 years. He lived to farm and support his family. Roy found joy in his later years playing in his wheel loader at his gravel pit. He spent numerous hours moving dirt and hauling sand for the cows. Roy was a proud “Papa” who loved to spend time with his family, visit with friends and tell countless stories.
