Funeral Information

A memorial service will be at 11:00am Saturday, December 9th at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Saturday and continue until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne.

Ann is survived by her siblings Sherril (Lee) Steinman of Pigeon, Ronald (Connie) Kuch of Caseville and Lori Neal of Pigeon; brother-in-law Denny and Bev Herford, sister-in-law Donna Steinman and Tom Loviska, sister-in-law Dawn and Stu Jahr; nieces and nephews James (Trish) Steinman, Jeremy (Heidi) Steinman, Jason Kuch, David (Amy) Kuch, Brandon Neal, and Rebecca (Jordan) Finkbeiner, Shannon (Dorelly) Herford, Hayley (Jonathan) Leaf, Chris (Dave) Nelson, Rob (Jillian) Steinman, and Josh (Kari) Steinman; 20 great-grand nieces and nephews; and family friend Joseph Fibranz.

Biography

Ann Marie Herford, 66, of Elkton, was found deceased on Thursday, November 30, 2023 near Arnold, California. Ann was born April 1, 1957 in Pigeon to the late Robert J. and Dolores J. (Rieck) Kuch. In 1975 she graduated from Laker High School. She married Donald Herford on August 20, 1977 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2021. Ann was a traveling Nurse Practitioner, working in medical settings in California and Michigan. She traveled to Poland on a mission trip to assist with medical care for Ukrainian refugees.
