Beatrice Irene Osantoski, age 93, of Bad Axe passed away on December 2, 2023 at her home in Bad Axe, Michigan under hospice care. Beatrice was born March 20, 1930 in Paris Township, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Balbina (Spitza) Klama. She attended Shemka Country School and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Parisville. She was the oldest of eight children and spent her childhood in the Parisville area. She married John Albert Pionk on January 31, 1953 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They settled in Paris Township where they farmed and raised their four children. He preceded her in death April 20, 1988. Beatrice then married Martin J. Osantoski on February 13, 1999, and moved to Bad Axe, Michigan. Martin preceded her in death on December 6, 2018. Beatrice was a former parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Parisville and a Rosary Sodality member. Along with farming, she worked at Clements Manufacturing in Minden City and Deckerville. She was a parishioner of St. Hubert Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Beatrice had a green thumb and loved gardening, quilting and was a huge fan of WWE wrestling (even attending a wrestling event live last Christmas). She was always ready to go for a ride, whether it be just to look at the crops, see Christmas lights or a trip to her farm. Nothing made her happier than holding her great-grandchildren. We will miss her Polish accent and the laughter it created.
