In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Fircrest Christian Church of Hope, Saint Martin’s Fund, 1018 Columbia Ave, Fircrest, WA 98466. A memorial service will be 11:00am Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 Pierson Rd, Flushing, MI 48433. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. An interment service will be held at a later date. For those that are unable to physically attend, Mayfair Bible Church will livestream the service.
She was predeceased by parents Stephanie and Julius Willmy, her beloved husband Jack, brothers Carl and Ed Willmy, and sister Ruth (Hickey). She is mourned by her sons: Charles “Chuck” and Diane “DeeDee” (Czarnecki) of Lapeer, James “Jim” and Nancy Irene (Burnham) of Oxford, and Pastor Dan and Denise Lynn (Adams) of Fircrest, Washington; grandchildren: Sarah (Alan) Henderson, Michael (Stephanie) Breznau, Stephen (Emily) Breznau, Grace (Luke) Rogers, Dr. Daniel (Dr. Candace) Breznau, Nathan Breznau, Faith Breznau, Daniel Breznau and Maria Breznau; great-grandchildren: Hudson, Everlynn, Carson, Jackson, Christian, Isabella, Audrey, Adeline, Aurora and Elijah. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Nancy Ann Breznau, 92, of Lapeer, formerly of Caseville, went to be with our Lord on December 8, 2023. She died peacefully in her sleep early in the morning at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. Nancy was born in Weehawken, NJ, the youngest of four children. She was a happy, friendly person, always with a smile on her face, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married John “Jack” Charles Breznau on September 8, 1951(married 67 years), and worked as a secretary at several locations, including the University of Detroit High School in Detroit, before establishing a retail business with her husband Jack. Starting as “The Village Shoppe,” it eventually became the “Seagull Mall” in Caseville and “Nancy’s” in Pigeon, MI. A highlight of their life was when Nancy (age 70) and Jack (age 74) became ordained local Episcopal priests on December 29, 2001.
