Dave was born August 10, 1963 in Pigeon, Michigan to Raymond and Elaine (Spomer) Licht. He graduated from Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port High School in 1982. He attended Michigan State University where he received a degree in plant science. After graduation he accepted a job in Florida at a nursery in Clermont. Shortly after Dave met the love of his life, his partner Sherry Lavoie and they remained together for over thirty years until her death in March 2023. Later Dave accepted a position at Dr. Jacks Pest Control and moved to Kissimmee. He loved his job and working with clients until he recently retired due to illness. Dave loved hunting and fishing and even though he was battling cancer he was able to make a trip back to Michigan in October to bow hunt and visit family and friends.
