Funeral Information

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, September 30th at Michigan Ave. Mennonite Church with Rev. Scot Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Michigan Ave. Mennonite Church or to the family.

Family of the Deceased

She is survived by her loving daughter Brenda Beachy (Michael), her sons Murray (Robin) Beachy and Bethanne Beachy (Curt), and Timothy Beachy, and her treasured grandchildren, Dwight, Nicole, Brandon, Brody, Bailee, Benjamin, Brooklyn, Makenna, Seth, Garet, Westin, and Kyle; and 12 beautiful great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward her spirit and love. She is also survived by her brother Duane (Janet) Caister. Joanne now joins her beloved husband, Eldon Beachy, her son, Mike Beachy, and her daughter, Jody Beachy, her parents Wilford and Mary (Schweister) Caister, and siblings Arthur Caister, Mary Lou Pallas, and Janet Schwannecke in eternal rest. In honor of Joanne’s remarkable spirit, her family kindly asks that those attending her celebration of life wear red—her favorite color—a symbol of the boldness and vitality with which she lived. As we gather to celebrate Joanne’s life, let us remember her not with sorrow but with joy, knowing that her journey continues beyond this world. She leaves behind an indelible mark on our hearts and a reminder that love, kindness, and passion are the truest legacies one can leave. “See y’all at the ball.”

Biography

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joanne Beachy, 89, of Caseville, a vibrant soul who left this world on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in Pigeon. Joanne's life was a kaleidoscope of love, laughter, and light, touching everyone fortunate enough to know her. From her earliest days, Joanne embraced life with an unmatched spirit and grace. She poured her heart into every endeavor, sharing her gifts generously with family, friends, and the community. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, Avon, creativity, and endless love. Whether through a kind word, an infectious laugh, or the sparkle in her eyes, Joanne made the world brighter, and her legacy of compassion will live on through the many lives she touched. Known for her incredible green thumb, Joanne had a way of nurturing life even in the toughest of circumstances—she could grow flowers in cement, turning even the most unlikely places into something beautiful. Her strength, resilience, and kindness will forever inspire us to live our own lives with the same authenticity and joy that defined hers.
