Biography

Mark Oberski, age 70, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 13, 1954 to the late Bernard and Rita (Priemer) Oberski. On April 12, 1980, Mark and Teresa committed their lives to each other at OLLH Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Teresa was the love of his life. From a young age, Mark spent his days on the farm working closely with his parents. During his teenage years, he had to take on a more significant role on the farm while his father managed various health issues, and his older brothers were drafted for military service. Once married, Mark worked side by side with Teresa on the farm. As their four children grew, they also joined in all the chores. Mark continuously worked to expand his family farm. Although he worked tirelessly, he always made time for his family. From weekly date nights with Teresa, to vacations up north, Mark made them a priority. As time went on, Grandkids became an even bigger priority. Vacations got longer, and time with family was cherished. Mark’s caring nature was evident through the love he showed for his family, the land, the animals, and all he worked with. He was a kind, gentle, and humble man. His love and guidance will be deeply missed, but we will honor his legacy by living each day like he would.
