Funeral Information

A funeral service for Marie will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St, Flint, Michigan 48504. A visitation will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433. A rosary service will occur following the visitation at 6:00 PM.

Family of the Deceased

Marie is survived by her grandson Daniel and wife Jaime Edwards of Fenton, grandson Philip Edwards of Tennessee, former daughter-in-law Loretta Zychowicz and husband Rick Riley of Tennessee. Marie was preceded in death by her sons Patrick and Paul Edwards, her brothers; Joseph and Edward, and her sisters; Irene and Frances. Special thanks are extended to the Family Service Agency (Amanda and Catherine), Comfort Keepers ( Sherry and Tia), the Majestic Care of Flushing Assisted Living staff and Heart to Heart Hospice( Amanda and Christine).

Biography

Marie Patricia Pawlosky Edwards, age 101, passed away on November 7, 2024 in Flushing, Michigan. She was born on September 5,1923 in Bad Axe,Michigan,daughter of the late Paul Pawlosky and Anastasia Kubacki. Marie attended Sacred Heart School and Bad Axe High School, graduating class of 1940. She married Omer J. Edwards on August 11,1945. He preceded her in death on April 23,1978. Marie was employed by Attorney Kirk Hailey as a legal secretary, and the Michigan Bell Telephone Company as an operator. Marie was a social worker for the Michigan Family Independent Agency, retiring in 1980. She also liked to do fundraising, which is what she did for the new Huron Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish in Flint, Michigan and previously a member of St. Agnes Church in Flint Mi until it closed in 2008. Marie was a member of the Flushing Senior Center,The Red Hat Ladies Society and member of the Flint Area Visually Impaired support group.
