Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Shirley, will be Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11 am, at St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope, with Rev. David Dodge officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Bay Cemetery. Visitation for Shirley will be on Thursday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Friday, will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A scripture service will take place Thursday, at 7 pm, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, or to United Hospice. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Shirley is survived by her children: Rick Piotter of Port Hope, and Carol (Jerry) Kube of Montrose, grandchildren: Bridget, Courtney, Derrick, Chris, Jared, great grandchildren: Adalynn and Maverick, brother and sister-inlaw: Russell (Jeanette) Piotter of Kinde, and Sandy Piotter of Port Huron, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Everald, parents Alfred and Elsie, daughter-in-law Andrea Piotter, sisters: Beverly (Raymond) Krueger, Everine (Marvin) Kozfkay, and brothers and sister-inlaw: Harold (Jean) Piotter, Elvira (Verner) Lawitzke, and Darrell Piotter.

Biography

Shirley E. Piotter, age 85 of Port Hope, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at United Hospice Center of the Marlette Regional Hospital. She was born on December 15, 1938 in Port Hope, to the late Alfred and Elsie (Zick) Scherret. She and Everald Piotter were united in marriage on April 11, 1959 at St. John Lutheran Church in Port Hope. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2011. Together they farmed their whole lives. Shirley was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope. She enjoyed farming and gardening.
