Carol is survived by her beloved children, Wayne Trainor of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Dean (Kelly) Trainor of Whittemore, Michigan, Kay Trainor of Opelika, Alabama, and Kristen Henry of Bad Axe, Michigan. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Tasha, Emma, Tyler, Kaileigh, McKenzie, and Alex; and one great-grandchild, Joey; as well as her dear siblings, Dennis Thayer of Wilsonville, Oregon, Grace Cibulskis of Romulus, Michigan, and Denise Crowe of Bad Axe, Michigan. Carol was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Charles Thayer; her infant son; and her brothers-in-law, Mick Crowe and Tony Cibulskis.

Biography

Carol Elizabeth Trainor, age 81, of Bad Axe, Michigan, passed away peacefully, at Huron County Medical Care on November 12, 2024. Carol was born to George and Rachael (Hope) Thayer on November 12, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, Carol lived a life marked by her love for family, animals, and nature. For 15 years, Carol dedicated herself to her community by running two Adult Foster Care Homes in Bad Axe, where she provided a warm, welcoming environment to many. Known for her deep love of animals, Carol’s home was never without a rescue/stray cat or two (or more). She cared for each one with a gentle, compassionate heart. Carol found joy in the beauty of nature, spending countless hours tending to her garden and flower beds. Carol’s kindness, strength, and love will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
