Funeral Information

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, November 25th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne with Rev. Steve Neuman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in church on Monday. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.

Family of the Deceased

Marci is survived by her children Russell Jay (Rhonda) Keel and Rhonda Powell; grandchildren Chelsea, Amber, Brittany, Hunter and Genevieve; great-grandchildren Claire, Cali, Jayson and Heather. She was preceded in death by her son Rodney and siblings, Audrey, Clinton, Dolly, and Carol.

Biography

Marcella Sondra Keel, 83, of Pigeon, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe. Marci “Pug” was born July 7, 1941 in Detroit to the late Clinton and Clara (Renn) Reid. She grew up in Marlette. She retired from Kroger, working her way up the ranks, she opened new stores, hiring and training new staff and opening the office. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends. She had a generous spirit and strong faith. She was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne.
