Gary is survived by his wife, MaryEllen; children: Heidi (Jeff) Faist of Owendale and Todd Rockefeller of Gagetown; grandchildren: Aaron (Marilee) Faist, Amanda (Jordan) Bolzman, Ashley (Jason) Hiles and Stephen Rockefeller; great grandchildren: Ian, Morgan, Harper and Saige; sister-in-law, Sharyn Rockefeller. Gary is preceded in death by his sister, Delores (Steve) Bencheck; and brother, John D. Rockefeller.
Gary Clifton Rockefeller, age 81, of Gagetown, passed away at his home on hospice with his family by his side, on November 30, 2024. Gary was born in Cass City on May 20, 1943, to Clifton Floyd and Lilly Mae (Nicholas) Rockefeller. He graduated from Owengage High School in 1961. He married MaryEllen Gokey on December 8, 1962. He enjoyed farming his entire life. Along with farming, a few years he also worked at General Motors – Buick City in Flint. He enjoyed riding the trails up north at the cabin and seeing all the wildlife. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, but eventually his love of the animals had him stop hunting and started taking pictures of the wildlife.
