Funeral Information

A memorial service honoring Cathy’s life was held for immediate family on May 10th in Lapeer. Her family gathered to remember a woman whose presence left a lasting imprint on their lives.  May Cathy’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, October 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Minden City Hall on Main St. in Minden City where family will welcome guests to share memories and celebrate Cathy's life. In remembrance of Cathy’s love for animals and nature, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton. Alternatively, friends are encouraged to plant a lilac bush—her favorite flower—as a living tribute to her memory.

Family of the Deceased

She was a devoted mother to her children: Michael Hall; Christopher Hall and his wife Cheryl; Kim Allis and her husband John; Kelly Essenmacher and her husband Dave; Shelly Grifka and her husband Kevin; Sherry Krohn; and Vincent Puvaloski and his wife Annette.  She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, brothers Jim (Noreen) Donnellon, Richard (Bonnie) Donnellon, Pat (Cathy) Donnellon, sister Mary Lou (John) Stewart, and many nieces and nephews.  Catherine also held close in memory her son Richard F. Hall and son-in-law Jeffery J. McCarty, who preceded her in death.

Biography

Catherine passed away on March 10, 2025 in Lapeer, Michigan at the age of 83. She was born on October 11, 1941. Catherine was the beloved daughter of Fred and Joan (Gallagher) Donnellon. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to her Michigan roots, carrying with her the values and spirit of the community where she was raised.
