Lucille is survived by her daughters: Christine Burns, Debbie (Brian) Dillon, Brenda (Jess Ritz) Burns, sisters: Susan (Joe) Schmidt, Mary (Ted) Sache, brothers: Raylee (Diane) Walsh, Jerry (Mary) Walsh, Larry (Carol) Walsch, Wendel (Michele) Walsh, and Chuck (Barb) Walsh, her grandchildren: Desirae (Brian) Ziegelmann, Leevy (Mandalyn Humphrey) Matthews, Raven (Gabe Verellen) Burns, Olivia Dillon and great grandson Odin Ziegelmann as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William Burns, parents Ray and Louise (Sacket) Walsh, brother Phil Walsh, niece Jeannie Schmidt, brother-in-law Joe Schmidt, sister-in-law Francis Walsh, and sister-in-law Barb Walsh. Each of these people carries forward the love that she imparted, ensuring her legacy endures. She will be greatly missed

Biography

Lucille "Nana" (Walsh) Burns, born on September 3, 1949, passed away on January 10, 2026. She met her husband, William "Mr. Bill" Burns and after a two week whirlwind romance, they married in October of 1969. They settled near Ubly, Michigan to raise a family and retained there until their deaths. Throughout her life, she found joy through crocheting, quilting, and cross-stitching blankets for family and friends. She put her love into every stitch. She also found joy in baking, especially for the holidays, and would make boxes of treats to give as gifts. Lucille was devoted to her family. She held many roles, including being a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a cherished daughter, sister and aunt. She was a wonderful Nana to friends and families' children alike.
