Funeral Information

Funeral Mass for Doris will be Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Doris will be Wednesday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Thursday, will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11:30 am. Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund. Doris is survived by her children: Jeannie Quinn, Robert (Patricia) Hagedon, Nancy (Dale) Siemen, Paul (Sheila) Hagedon, the late Karen (Terry) Buzinski and Diane Hagedon. 14 grandchildren: Donald A. Teeple (Jamie), Stan Galanos (Taylor) , Jessica (Michael) Fleischer, Christopher (Sammie) Hagedon, Paul Siemen, Eric (Jessica) Siemen, Laurie Miller (Michael), Daniel (Jamie) Siemen, Michael (Jenny) Hagedon, Kevin (Jorelyn) Hagedon, Melissa Dondineau (Erick), Shia (Jesse) Green Genna Pringle (Nick) and Jared (Katrina) Pringle. 19 great grandchildren: Mariana, Remington, RUby, Damaris, Rhys, Jesper, Clara, Luke (Teresa), Emma, Jamie (Bruce), Tessa, Lena, Kyler, Austin, Benjamin, (Logan), Jake, Charlie, Lexi and Leah. Sisters: Gladys (Ken) Mosey, Magdeline Gehring, Joan (Mike) Prill & Norma Hessling. Brother and sisters-in-law: Earl Grates, Patricia Hessling, Betty (Albert) Grates, Marilyn Hagredon, Larry (Brenda) Hagedon, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by sisters: Marie & Ralph Hagedon, Margie Grates, Lorraine & Albert Prill, her brother Marvin Hessling and infants: Melvin & Annie Hessling, brothers and sisters-inlaw: George & Doris Hagedon, Jean ERb. James & Delores Hagedon, Bruce Hagedon, Jack & Doreen Hagedon, Susan and Walter Stanke, Jack Gehring, and grandson-in-law: Larry Miller.

Biography

Doris Jean (Hessling) Hagedon, 92 of Harbor Beach, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 2, 1934 in Detroit, to the late Norman and Bernetta (Messing) Hessling. Doris and Charles R. Hagedon were unite in marriage on September 19, 1953 in Kinde. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2009 shortly after celebrating their 56th Anniversary. Doris graduated from OLLH High School then took a banking course in Port Huron and worked at Hubbard State Bank in Bad Axer before settling back in Harbor Beach to raise her family. Later she worked at Harbor Beach, then Dr. R. Stuart Young's office, as a certified nursing assistant, and was also a certified EMS. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church her entire life, serving on the altar society, providing many funeral dinners for the parish, and was also a member of the Daughter's of Isabella. Doris was also a Cub Scout leader for many years. She loved gardening, growing flowers, cooking, baking and christmas, but was happiest with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren around her.
