Funeral Information

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Craig Carolyn at 11 AM Friday, February 6 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Sheridan Township. Visitation will be 3 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 5 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe and 10 to 11 AM on Friday in the church. Surviving are his children David (Julie) of Owendale, Douglas of Bad Axe, Debra (George) McNiven of Port Sanilac, Darren (Kerrie) of Ubly, and Daniel (Christina) of Ubly; grandchildren Brian, Alicia, Angela, Laura, Jeffery, Marc, Alexander, Leah, Matthew, and Megan; great-grandchildren Derek, Emily, Alivia, Bella, Addison, Aric, Cody, Rhiana, Brady, Kolten, Randilyn, and Jack; great-great grandchildren Koltyn and Jameson; siblings Marlene (Larry) Bukoski, Barbara (Charlie) Bibbee, Nancy (Cliff) Anderson and their children. He was proceeded in death by his wife Virginia, grandson William Lubeski, sisters Carol (Tim) Krause and Susan (Tom) LaPointe, his parents John and Emma Lubeski, and parents-in-law Alex and Regina Prill. 

Biography

Harvey Lubeski, 90, of Sheridan Township passed away Monday, February 2, 2026.  Harvey was born on October 8, 1935 to the late John and Emma (Kulish) Lubeski. He married Virginia Prill on June 22, 1957 at St. Mary of Cz?stochowa Catholic Church in Dwight Township. Harvey was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ubly where he served as an usher. He was a carpenter by trade and as a Superintendent for Granger Construction Company, managed many large commercial building projects across Michigan. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict era and 50 year member of American Legion Post 499 in Port Austin.
