Visitation for Shirley and Ron will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 2-8 pm at the Wasik Funeral Home, Gendernalik Chapel, located at 35259 23 Mile Rd. in New Baltimore. They will lie in state on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 10 am until the 10:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Queen of Creation Church, 50931 Maria St., New Baltimore, Michigan. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New Baltimore, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the Michigan Humane Society, reflecting Ronald and Shirley's compassion for animals. Rest in peace, Ronald and Shirley Osentoski, now reunited in eternal love and light.

Family of the Deceased

Shirley is survived by her cherished daughters, Shaina and Sabrina Osentoski. She leaves behind her siblings Floyd (Loretta) Spudowski, Dave (Maryann) Spudowski, Dennis Spudowski, and Denise (Jeff) DiLiberto, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will deeply miss her presence. Shirley was predeceased by her infant daughter Star Angel. Ron is survived by his daughters, Shaina and Sabrina Osentoski, his siblings Marie (the late Frank) Lasceski, Jim (Diana) Osentoski, Janice (John) Carpenter, Arnold (Joan) Osentoski, and Kevin Osentoski. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Osentoski. Ron will be remembered fondly by his extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Biography

Shirley Ann Osentoski peacefully passed away on March 16, 2026, in Chesterfield Township, Michigan, at the age of 69. Born on August 20, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, Shirley was known for her warmth, creativity, and love of life. Throughout her life, Shirley was an avid quilter and cross-stitch enthusiast who also enjoyed painting. Her artistic talents brought joy to many, but her true joy came from her beloved dogs, Coco and Roxy. She adored traveling, particularly to spend time with her daughter in Arizona. Shirley dedicated many years of her career to the Anchor Bay School District, where she brought kindness and expertise until her retirement. Alongside Shirley in eternal rest, Ronald Joseph Osentoski, her devoted partner, passed away on March 18, 2026. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and shared passions. Ron, born on January 4, 1957, in Cass City, Michigan, was known for his cooking prowess, especially his beloved Polish dishes during the Christmas season. He cherished his time gardening at their vacation home in Gaylord, Michigan, and found great satisfaction as an avid hunter and fisherman. Like Shirley, Ron had a profound love for their dogs, Coco and Roxy. He operated a successful electrical motor repair business, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication.
