Funeral mass for Marjorie will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11:30 am, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, of the Holy Apostles Parish, Ruth. Visitation will be at 10 am until time of services at the church, at 11:30 am. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.

Clemens, Gregory (Theresa) Messing of Rockford, Jill Messing and Special friend John Davidson of Lansing, 19 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, son-in-law: John Kriewall of Harbor Beach, daughter-in-law: Renee Messing of Opelika, AL,1 step grandchild, siblings: Gerald Booms of Ubly, Joann Ginther of Bad Axe, Charles (Georgine) Booms of Pueblo, CO, Harry (Verna) Booms of Harbor Beach, brothers and sisters-in-law: Joan Booms of Wausaukee, WI, June Eidenberger, of Sisters OR, Gerald Cleary of Minden City, Judy Messing of Ubly, Richard (Jane) Messing of Harbor Beach, Bill (Diane) Messing of Ubly, Estelle (Eugene) Wagg of Folsom, CA, Elaine (Eugene) Mazure of Ubly, Erma (Marvin) Cook of Ubly, Margie (Robert) Susalla, of Clio, Janet (James) Thomas of Folsom, CA, Shirley Messing of Ruth, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Kriewall, son Philip Messing, sisters: Evelyn Booms IHF, Sheila Messing, Brother: Dennis Booms, sister and brothers-in-law: Georgeann Booms, Joann Cleary, Phyllis Messing, Herbert Messing, Allen Messing, Jerome (Curly) Messing, Robert Eidenberger, granddaughter: Meri Williams.
Marjorie A. Messing, age 95 of Minden City, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at her home, under hospice care, with her loving family by her side. Marjorie was born on March 4, 1931 in Harbor Beach, to the late Wilfred and Estella (Essenmacher) Booms. She married Edward Messing on May 1, 1954 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Helena. Edward preceded her in death on May 11, 2018. They enjoyed 64 years together. Over the years, Marge enjoyed gardening, travel, her work at St. John Chrysosdom Catholic Church in Forestville, her family; especially her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. She also loved her nieces and nephews, babysitting and taking pictures of everyone. She was a member of Holy Apostles Parish and a life member of the Auxiliary VFW Post 5740 of Parisville. A woman of deep faith, Marjorie “Mom” exemplified John 13:34 “Love one another, as I have loved you.” She loved her family and extended family not only in words, but through her daily interactions, setting an example for her children and loved ones who will forever strive to emulate the love she so freely gave.
