In celebration of Linda’s life, her family is creating a living memorial of colorful foliage and perennial flowers around the home she loved so dearly. Those wishing to honor Linda are invited to send perennial flowers or bulbs to the family home, where they will be planted and will blossom year after year in remembrance of an amazing woman whose beautiful smile, bright spirit, and unforgettable blue eyes will never be forgotten. To honor Linda‘s wishes, there will be a celebration of life for immediate family sometime in the future. Linda was deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed. And because of the life she lived and the faith she held, her family takes comfort in knowing that her love will continue to surround them, season after season, bloom after bloom.

Linda Marie (Mausolf) Cook, age 70 of Harbor Beach, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on May 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 19, 1955, in Harbor Beach to the late Orville and Marie Mausolf, and in the beautiful symmetry of her life, she also returned home to Harbor Beach for her final days. Linda was the beloved wife of Dan Cook, married September 28th, 1974. Together, Dan and Linda built a life rooted in faith, family, friendship, hard work, and the simple joys that made their home feel warm and welcoming to everyone who entered. She was the loving mother of Ryan Cook and Tina Cummings, and a proud mother-in-law to Gina Cook and Brian Cummings. But one of Linda’s greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren - Ethan, Kaliah, Maxwell, Ellyana and Connor - and they brought immeasurable light to her life. Linda loved spending time in her backyard, planting flowers, tending to her garden, and creating beauty wherever she could. She enjoyed traveling and exploring the country, motorcycle and boat rides, long walks with friends, and evenings on the deck shared over a glass of wine and “pu-pu’s”, laughter, and conversation with the people she loved most. Throughout her life, Linda worked in home healthcare and alongside her husband in their family floor covering business. In both her work and her daily life, she gave generously of herself. She had a servant heart - gentle, genuine, and deeply compassionate. Those who knew Linda will remember her radiant smile, her warm hugs and the kindness that seemed to pour effortlessly from her. She had a way of making people feel seen, loved, and comforted. She was incredibly kind, deeply sincere, and always willing to offer a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a prayer. Above all, Linda loved Jesus. Her faith was not something she simply spoke about; it was something she lived. She prayed every day for her family and friends, both near and far, past and present. Her relationship with God shaped the way she loved others - faithfully, tenderly, and without condition. Linda’s life was a beautiful reflection of grace, humility, and love. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to bloom in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
