Kathleen Lillian Dinsmore of Mayville, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. She was born on February 6, 1945 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late Clarence and Vivian (Wetlaugher) Toner. Kathy graduated from Laker High School before attending Central Michigan University. In her younger years, she loved spending time outdoors and often rode horses with friends. Their adventures frequently began in Pinnebog and took them all the way to Port Crescent, where they would spend the day swimming and enjoying the shoreline. In 1965, Kathy married the love of her life, Robert Dinsmore, in Elkton. Together, they shared more than sixty wonderful years of marriage, building a loving family and a thriving homestead. A devoted mother, Kathy proudly raised four sons and dedicated herself to caring for them during their early years. Once her boys were in school, her industrious nature led her back into the workforce, where she served as a secretary for the Intermediate School District, first in Caro and later in Saginaw. Kathy was deeply involved in her sons’ lives, coaching their baseball teams and faithfully driving them to countless 4-H events. She was a loving and supportive mother who was always present for her family. When she wasn’t working or helping on the family farm alongside Robert, she enjoyed riding horses, tending her gardens, and embracing the simple joys of country life.
