Funeral arrangements will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, Michigan for the visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Tim Callow officiating. The burial service will be Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Colfax Township Cemetery. Donations can be made to the family C/O Michael, for a collection being taken up to share with her loving caregivers at her former Assisted Living facility in Linden. She was the devoted mother of Glenn (Sandy) Sturm and Michael (Lisa) Sturm, and the dearest grandmother of Cole, Lauren, and Briana. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom were an important part of her life.

Biography

Donna Mae Sturm, age 91, originally of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully of natural causes on July 24, 2026. Donna was born on November 17, 1934, in Cass City, Michigan, to the late Glenn and Ella (Helwig) Profit. Throughout her 91 years, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cherished member of her family. Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, James Sturm. Donna will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and for the many memories created over a long and full life. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. May she rest peacefully, reunited with James, and surrounded by the love and memories of a life well lived.
