Funeral service for Audrey will be Wednesday August 5th, 2026 11:00AM at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel with Rev. William Cleland officiating. Burial will take place at Colfax Township Cemetery.
She is survived by her children; Linda (Jeffrey) Evans Sr. of Bad Axe, Brenda (Robert) Hurren of Bayport, John (Bobbi) Bucholtz of Bad axe. Audrey was preceded by: her parents; James Edward Sr., Della Judkins, her stepfather and stepmother; Don Judkins & Bea Edwards, her brothers Dennis Edwards and James (Jim) Edwards Jr. and her two sons; Jerry and Terry Bucholtz. Audrey and her family wish to extend a special thank you to the Huron County Medical Care facility and staff, her many friends for their visits always bringing memories to share, especially to Harold and Joanne Champagne for all their care.
Audrey Jane Bucholtz 91 yrs. old passed away on July 30th, 2026. Audrey was the daughter of the late James Edwards Sr. and Della Judkins, born on February 15, 1935. Audrey was a lifelong residence of Bad Axe and a 1953 graduate of Bad Axe High school. She worked for Gainor’s meatpacking Co., A & W restaurant and Roberts IGA. The lord blessed her with 12 Grandchildren; Amy and Jeff Evans Jr., Robert Bucholtz, Henry Bucholtz, Daniel Bucholtz, Elma Bucholtz, Roy Smith, Marie Stafford, Steve Hurren, James Hurren, Nichole Bucholtz, Nathan Bucholtz and 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Audrey enjoyed everything “Detroit Tigers”. She has fond memories traveling with the Port Hope retires club, to Branson Missouri, Alaska, Nashville, Boston , Maine and a cruise with the Port Hope retirees club to Hawaii to name a few. She was always ready to hop in the car for an adventure, especially if it included a stop at Cracker Barrel for the famous “catfish: dinner. Audrey considered herself truly blessed herself to watch her grandchildren participate in countless sporting events and activities. Audrey took great pride in completing challenging jigsaw puzzles and treasured the time spent with family. She especially cherished holiday traditions, from Christmas gatherings filled with wonderful food, laughter, and togetherness, to Halloween, when she delighted in creating her own creative costumes.
