A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Stroh Church of Christ, 4540 S–1100 W, Hudson, Indiana, with Pastor Michael Hamm officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place privately at Colfax Cemetery, Bad Axe, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to Stroh Church of Christ or First Baptist Church of Bad Axe. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.fruripmayfuneralhome.com Arrangements have been entrusted to Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange, Indiana.

Surviving Linda are her two sons, Bradley (Ann) Buss of Bad Axe, Michigan, and Patrick (Susan) Buss of Portland, Oregon; her grandson, Eli Buss of Bad Axe, Michigan; two special ladies who were like daughters to her, Linda (Michael) Chumbler of Harbor Springs, Michigan, and Beckie (Eric) Miller of Bad Axe, Michigan; her step-children, Kirk M. (Lynne) Perkins, Rodney M. (Kathy) Perkins, Eric S. (Jane) Perkins, all of Stroh and twins, Todd M. (Jayne) Perkins, of Stroh and daughter; Teresa M. (Tim) Majerus of Lewistown, MT; two sisters, Ruth Rowlison of Kendallville, Indiana, and Lilly Till of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and two brothers, George (Marilyn) Klink of Wolcottville, Indiana, and Kelly (Tammy) Klink of Angola, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Charles Buss and James Perkins; two sisters, Mabel Bowers and Mary Rhinehart; and four brothers, Michael Klink, Richard Klink, Wayne Klink, Jr., and Charles Klink.

Biography

Linda M. Buss-Perkins, age 90, of Wolcottville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at her residence. She was born on February 3, 1936, in Hudson, Indiana, to Wayne and Lilly (Feeney) Klink. Linda graduated from Salem Center High School. She valued her education and used the skills she gained throughout her life to raise her family and help operate a family business. On March 11, 1956, she married Charles Buss in Hudson, Indiana. They shared 46 years of marriage before his passing on April 28, 2002. In 1963, Linda and Charles moved north to Bad Axe, Michigan, where they became the owners and operators of Ace Hardware. Together, they raised their two sons while becoming active members of the Bad Axe community. Linda was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bad Axe, where she served as a deaconess and took on many other roles within the church. Linda also volunteered with Bad Axe Friends for Life Hospice Care, where she found purpose in sharing her love and compassion with those who were sick. She enjoyed nature, especially feeding and watching birds, as well as knitting and crocheting. She was a very outgoing person who had friends wherever she went. On June 21, 2003, she married James W. Perkins in Stroh, Indiana. Linda and Jim shared 20 years together before his passing on July 9, 2023. After returning to northeast Indiana, Linda became a member of Stroh Church of Christ, where she enjoyed the fellowship of her church family.
