Funeral Information

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Louise Peyerk will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church (Annunciation of the Lord Parish) Kinde, at 11:00 am with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. Burial will follow at Rapson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 4-8 pm at MacAlpine Funeral Home~Gage Chapel in Kinde, and also from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be offered to Safe Place Women’s Shelter in Bad Axe, Michigan. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

Mary Louise is survived by her husband Donald; sons Russell (Mary Beth) Peyerk of Romeo, Michigan, Ronald (Julie) Peyerk of Romeo, Michigan; daughters Michele Peyerk of Surprise, AZ, Darcell (Dale) Miller of Washington, Michigan; grandchildren Michael Peyerk, Kaitlyn (Kyle) Goodmen, Jessica (Austin) Jackson, Jake (Rachel) Peyerk, Donald (fiancé Kathryn) Murphy, Ashlyn Murphy, Alivia Miller, Stephanie Miller; great-grandchildren Emerson, Rafe, Ren and Norah. Along with her parents, Mary Louise was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Bouvrette and her sister Beverly (John) Muter.

Biography

Mary Louise Peyerk, 88 years old, of Kinde, went to her heavenly home on August 24, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1938 to the late Joseph and Eleanor (Goniwicha) Bouvrette. On January 2, 1956 she married Donald Peyerk and they celebrated 70 years of marriage this year. Together they raised four children and were blessed through the years with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mary Louise was a member of St. Michael (Annunciation of the Lord Parish) in Port Austin, The Red Hat Society and The Grindstone – Port Hope Sportsmen’s Club. Mary Louise established the “Sassy Sisters” group, where they met for lunch a couple times a month to sit and laugh and catch up on each other’s lives. Mary Louise poured her heart into her family and it brought her great joy to spend time with them. She was Grams to her grandchildren and Gigi to her great grands. Her kitchen was always stocked with fresh baked goodies to be shared with anyone that walked in the door. She also enjoyed reading, walking, gambling and making ceramics. Donald and Mary Louise were snow birds and traveled to Arizona for the last 30 years where they had a community of friends.
