Funeral Information

Funeral mass for Harry will be Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, of the Holy Apostles Parish with burial to will follow in the SSPP Church Cemetery. Visitation for Harry will be in the church beginning at 8:30 am until time of services at 11 am. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Harry is survived by his sons: Jamie (Kim) Messing, Craig (Jolette) Messing, grandchild: Lillian Margarette, step grandchildren: Kayla, Katie, Josh, step great grandchildren: Sebastian, Rayna, his siblings: Carol (Harold) Dropeski, Ben (Pat) Messing, Cliff (Sue) Messing, Mike (Sherry) Messing, brother-in-law Paul Slater, sister-in-law Pat Messing, nieces and nephews, and Harry’s special friend Shirley Messing. He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Charles & Magdalene Messing, Godparents: Eugene Messing and Irene Messing, great grandson: Xavier Lemmert, siblings: Alice (Kenneth) Vahovick, Lillian Slater, Faye (Steve) Karpovich, Ronald Messing, and niece Amanda Messing-Spencer.

Biography

Harry J. Messing, 76 of New Haven, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at McLaren Macomb. Harry was born on November 23, 1949, in Ruth, to the late Charles and Magdalene (Kirsch) Messing. Harry graduated from Ruth Sts. Peter and Paul School in 1967, and went on to work construction and farming. His career was a busy one, construction by day, and farming at nights and weekends, along with raising his two sons. He enjoyed shooting pool, polka dances, playing cards and going to farm auctions.
